Good afternoon,
As you are aware, there is a growing number of people across WA who are required to isolate as a result of COVID 19 and the impact of this is being felt in many industries, including education. At St Stephen’s we are trying to be as proactive as possible in managing the challenges which includes consciously practising appropriate COVID safe measures and organising appropriate relief for staff absences when required. If you need to keep your child away from school for this or any other reason, please remember to contact absentees so we can log the absence. Equally, if you bring your child to school a little later for any reason, please remember they need to be signed in by an adult before returning to class.
RAT Tests available for collection
We still have some families yet to collect their 20 free RAT tests per child from school. If you are yet to collect them, please come to reception either at the ELC or 3-6 spaces and we will be happy to provide them to you.
Premier’s Reading Challenge
We are excited to be participating in the Premier’s Reading Challenge this year across the ELC and Primary school. This is a fantastic initiative which will promote reading among our children. Further information has been provided through the class blog. However, if you’d like to know more, please contact your class teacher and they will be happy to help.
Clubs
We are delighted to be starting clubs again this week. If your child missed out on their preferred club, please be encouraged to try again next term.
This week
It is a reasonably quiet week in terms of events across the ELC and 3-6 which means plenty of learning can occur, which is always exciting. NAPLAN catch ups will be happening for any Year 3 or 5 student who missed one of the tests. Years 3-6 will be taking part in their cross country challenge on Friday and class 6F will have their assembly on Friday and we are delighted to be able to welcome parents into the assembly for the first time this year!
Finally, we would like to thank you for all you do and for your ongoing support to the school and community.
